Welcome to the Wandle Park Lodge number 5508
ABOUT WANDLE PARK LODGE
Wandle Park Lodge No. 5508 was consecrated on 17 December 1934 at Freemasons’ Hall, Great Queen Street, London. The lodge was founded by a group of experienced brethren who wished to establish a lodge offering improved opportunities for progression within the Craft. It is sponsored by Wandsworth Borough Council Lodge No. 2979.
The name Wandle Park Lodge is derived from the River Wandle, which flows through the Borough of Wandsworth and has long been associated with the local area. The choice of name reflects the lodge’s close connection to its surroundings and its place within the local Masonic community.
Wandle Park Lodge maintains strong links within the wider Masonic family. Its lineage can be traced back through a succession of lodges spanning more than a century, ultimately reaching Royal York Lodge of Perseverance No. 7, founded in 1767. The lodge also enjoys close fraternal ties with several sister lodges formed in the Wandsworth and surrounding areas during the twentieth century.
Since its foundation, the lodge has drawn members from a wide range of professional backgrounds and continues to uphold the principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth under the English Constitution.
